People will tell you that an image is only as good as the story behind it. Personally, I’m not that big of a storyteller.
You see, that Dhole’s silhouette against the setting sun is just precious. What more is there to tell? We were at Schwerin Zoo in April 2024 and about to leave, when I thought: “Hey, this spot is nice. What if a Dhole ran through there in this direction now? That could be great!”
A few minutes later, one did run — exactly in the opposite direction. Bummer. So, we had to wait a bit longer. Then it happened. And, well… it was exactly as great as I had imagined.
There’s not much more to it. I saw something, waited, anticipated, and hit the shutter. Sometimes, that’s the whole story.
